Rose Colored Glasses

By

Some people believe in rose colored glasses.

That to see beauty,

You have to ignore the imperfection and overlook the brokenness.

But I don’t need a shade of pink over my eyes to see your beauty.

Like graffiti art on a sidewalk,

Like a crack in a stained glass window,

Your flaws bring out the parts of you that not everyone gets to see.

That’s the beauty of vulnerability.

I’ve got flaws too,

And you make me not afraid to share them with you.
