Sunshine blankets my eyes

Soothing my mind

Taking its time 

There’s no more rush for the sun to say goodbye 

She’s up to play for longer days 

She’s here to stay 

Her rays ringing the trees in beauty 

Warming them with her light

She’s going to bring them to life 

Slowly but surely their buds will unfold 

Creating more stories to be told 

It’s these moments of apricity that I want to hold
