Growth isn’t easy 

It’s a back and forth, a push and pull. 

It’s trying and learning and becoming and taking two strides forward after a slide backward. 

It’s asking questions and sharing your heart and opening your mind. 

It’s letting the tears flow and the laughs roar and the hands hold.

It’s moving toward instead of pulling away. 

It’s listening and patience and forgiveness.

It’s making a way and choosing to stay.
